Implementation Activity – Workshop
This workshop was hold with key persons from MOS, a Flemish governmental very successful entity promoting and supporting the creation of Green and Environment friendly schools in Flanders. MOS is behind the famous and big initiative Heavy Sweaters Day
The best practice that is translated in the 5 languages of the GreeNET project (en, es, de, gr, nl). Beside sharing with MOS GreeNET project plans and updates on the 26 translated best practices around Europe, about 100 copies of a brochure that was developed for the implementation phase purpose was given to MOS to distribute to the schools during the activities organized by MOS; This initiative was asked and welcomed by MOS. MOS gave very interesting resources on relevant initiatives in the region:

Maybe an opportunity more schools will subscribe via this GeeNET site and project partners. The province of Vlaams-Brabant took the initiative and does also the coordination (for the province) for the Covenant of mayor’s initiative. The Covenant of Mayors is the mainstream European movement involving local and regional authorities, voluntarily committing to increasing energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources on their territories. By their commitment, Covenant signatories aim to meet and exceed the European Union 20% CO2 reduction objective by 2020. MOS Vlaams-Brabant tries to stimulate the schools to take action to reduce also CO2.http://www.covenantofmayors.eu/index_en.html (Engels).
